What kind and how many stones can you expect?
The appearance and amount of stones varies individually and depends on the cremains.
The minimum amount of cremains needed is a quarter of a cup. Up to 10 stones can be made from cat´s cremains and up to 40 from dog´s cremains, measuring 2-8 cm.
The color of the stones is generally light, white to grayish, but brown and greenish tones may occur. The structure of the stones may be uneven, they are not perfectly smooth.
There is a selection of stones and tea candle holders. When choosing a tea candleholder, it may be possible to make additional stones if the amount of ash allows it. Please note your preferences in the order comments or write to us.
Special requests cannot be accepted regarding color and quantity, and for products that are not mentioned.

How are the stones made and how long does the process take?
The cremains are weighed and sieved to remove any foreign objects and larger pieces. A small amount of natural binders are added, transforming the ash into a clay-like mass that is molded into the appropriate shape and heated in a kiln to create a permanent structure.
The stones take an average of 2 weeks to complete, with additional time to deliver, but this can vary depending on the number of orders in progress. If you need them by a specific date, please contact us.

How do I need to send the cremains?
Pack the ashes in a box, either in a plastic bag or in an urn. We will return the urn if it is an openable urn, if not, please contact us if you want to have returned a damaged urn. Seal the box with tape and put the address of Mälestuskivid OÜ on the box (visible on the contact page).
Does Mälestuskivid LLC cremate the remains of pets?
No, we do not cremate pets.
